As the kernel tells us:
And we can surmise that a incorrect UUID is in the mounting file /etc/fstab .ALERT! UUID=6496c978-c968-4bdf-8a40-fb3f0b0233b does not exist.
The easiest way I can think of to check is to boot a liveUSB to "try Ubunu" mode, activate a terminal interface, run terminal command:
and then >Code:sudo blkid
open the file manger and mount the root partition of the install and compare these UUID's in the /etc/fstab file.
Remember to UNmount that root partition prior to closing out the file manager !
seems a likely place to look
