    Possible connection issue?

I am trying to get my Amazon Echo device connected to my wifi so it will work.

This may help me eliminate some things that are o.k. I can learn in the process.

At one point, the Echo device said it could not connect.

    Thanks

An online search brought up this...
    Code:
To connect an Amazon Echo device to Wi-Fi, you can follow these steps:
        Plug in your Echo device
Download the Amazon Alexa app on your phone or tablet
Open the Alexa app and sign in with your Amazon account
        Select Devices
        Select your Echo device
        Select Device Settings
Select Change next to Wi-Fi Network
Select your Wi-Fi network and enter your password
Follow the remaining prompts to complete the setup process
If you're having trouble connecting, you can try these steps:
Check that you have the latest version of the Alexa app
        Restart your Alexa-enabled device
        Reset your Echo device
Try setting up again using your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot
    Cheers,
