I just upgraded from Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04 and now neither Devede nor Brasero work. I cannot make a DVD in Devede as it crashes when I try. I cannot burn an iso to DVD in Brasero because it gives an unknown image type message when I select an iso (either a new one or one created yesterday before the upgrade). I'm not sure what to do next. Do I need to reinstall Ubuntu 22.04? I've been using Ubuntu since Warty Warthog and never had these kinds of issues when upgrading.
Ok, I've made some progress in working around these issues. If I right-click on the iso and pick "Open in Brasero" I can burn from there. Brasero appears to create a new iso from the existing iso and burn that; I don't understand why. If I open Brasero and pick Burn Image and select the same iso, then Brasero says it can't identify the type of image file. Very strange.
Well, that didn't work. It literally burned the iso file itself to a DVD.
I'm having this problem too, did you ever find a solution?
Same issue. No fix that I know of. Devede installs but does not create a proper iso anymore.
