Re: How to run Synaptic on Xubuntu

I am not really able to follow your reasoning for this thread as synaptic certainly does run in Xubuntu and always has in my experience.

I have been using Xubuntu for a long time now (since Ubuntu first used the Unity desktop which I disliked intensely) and whilst I admit that I can't remember whether or not synaptic is an included package in the ISO used to install the OS, there is no problem installing it if it's not already included, and if it is in your installed OS it should just work out of the box.

Are you suggesting that it does not work for you when you use the Xubuntu menu, either of them?
Does it show in your menu system and what happens if you click it in those menus?

I was not going to reply at all, but since you did another +1
