Night light has no effect on screen colour temperature.

It was fixed in 22.04.2, but has recurred in 24.04.
It is not related to the location problem - it also affects manual control of night light/screen colour temperature.
It is gnome specific (night light works fine on same machine in kubuntu 24.04).
It applies under wayland and x

In 22.10 there was an easy manual workaround using package sct, but sct is not in the 24.04 repositories that I can find.
If anyone knows a workaround or a fix I'd appreciate it.

PS xsct is in the repo and does provide a workaround - but only for xorg sessions.
