    It's me again.
    I forgot to say that Google was my friend, yesterday.
    I've found another way to set the sound I need. And this darken the plot somewhat. It involves Pulse Audio :
    Code:
     pactl upload-sample /usr/share/sounds/gnome/default/alerts/bark.ogg bell-window-system
    Of course, this command worked perfectly...

    The alert sound is best described as "this action isn't possible". Not that its dangerous, something wrong with the system, or something insecure.
    The 5 choices in the alert sound list are likely determined in the source code or an un-editable gresource file and can't be edited by the end user.
