I have been trying to install Ubuntu 24.04 LTS as a Virtual Machine on Gnome Boxes using Manjaro OS as a host machine.
After the installation process it asks to press the restart button and then returns back to the 'try Ubuntu' state.

It sounds as if you still have the installation medium connected, ie, the USB or however Gnome-Boxes does it.
As you may have realised already, I don't use Gnome so I don't think I could use Gnome-Boxes even as a trial so if I'm wrong about how you install the VM, I apologise.

If you tried adding it using the recommended ISO, it is mounted as a virtual CD-ROM.
Restart Boxes and if needs be right-click on the Ubuntu install and choose Force Shutdown.
Click to restart the VM; does it work now?
Is this 'recommended ISO' downloaded from the Ubuntu website OR the list to download directly from GNOME Boxes?
It is in Boxes and downloaded directly (I assume from the official Ubuntu website).
You can also download your own ISO files for whatever distro you want and then add them manually in Boxes.
