I was running 22.04 and upgraded to 24.04. When I boot the display is usually too wide (4 out of 5 boots). I must move the mouse all to the left repeatedly until the screen shifts so the full dock is viewable. If I want to open the application menu, I have to move mouse all the way to the right repeatedly until that side of the display is visible. I am using a GTX 730 card for HDMI output and I have a GTX 780 card that just runs BOINC tasks. I run BOINC tasks on the GTX 730 card also. Today I found that when the screen is too wide I can go into settings and change the Orientation from Landscape to Portrait Left (which is pretty much unusable but the tab key works so I can revert) and then go back to Landscape, the screen is OK. I tested it several times. I just have no idea how to troubleshoot this so I came here. I have boot logs from a good boot and a failed boot. I did diffs on them but I can't see the cause although they are different. HELP! I am using an FX8350 at 4.8GHz, 32GB Ram on a Gigabyte 990 FXA-UD5 board. Thanks
