Hello everyone, I have a Dell XPS 9340 on which I dual boot (Windows 11) and installed Ubuntu 22.04. I had no issues until now this morning. Since an Ubuntu update last night, I've been experiencing a graphical issue with horizontal video glitches appearing whenever there's mouse movement. I have read a similar report pertaining to 24.04 but thought I post a different thread as the underlying kernel versions are different. Thank you in advance for your help.
Problem may be the 6.8 kernel that was rolled out in the last few days. In a terminal session execute the command uname -r to see the running kernel version. During the boot process you get a grub display where you can select an older kernal to run with.
Thank you. Yes, it is kernel version 6.8 Following your suggestion, I have now switched to using the previous version of the kernel 6.5 and the display artefacts are gone. Cheers
