yesterday I installed XUbuntu 24.04 on my Dell M6600 laptop, and succeeded in getting most of the stuff running. One big problem is the fact that the laptop cannot resume from Standby. What happens exactly when I enter suspend state i that the laptop gets off and the power LED starts blining which is exavtly the expected behaviour for standby. However when I press the powerbutton in order to resume from standby, the laptop gets on, but only displays a blank black screen. Keyboard does not react to Num lock or anything else, so it looks like suspend completely froze the system.
I updated BIOS from A15 to A18, but that did not improve anything. Also I deactivated the internal NVidia gpu and use only the Intel graphics since I am aware that the Dual-GPU thing is problematic, it also is in systems like Windows in fact.
Is there anything I can try to do to find the culprit for this severe issue? Any help appreciated many thanks!
