As far back as Ubuntu 16.04, the LTS versions of Ubuntu can obtain 10 years of support by enrolling your system in the Ubuntu Pro services. I have Ubuntu 18.04 LTS installed and enrolled. It receives kernel and security updates until 2028.

Does that also include flavors such as Xubuntu, Lubuntu, etc?
Ten years? I don't know if I will live that long.

    Re: Oldest Ubuntu you’re running

My oldest Ubuntu, that I still can run is Ubuntu 4.10 in a VirtualBox VM. The oldest Ubuntu VM that I still use frequently is Ubuntu 16.04 ESM, that I use exclusively for banking. It is encrypted by VirtualBox and it runs the newest stable snaps for Firefox and LibreOffice Calc.
The only Ubuntu I run on hardware is a minimal install of Ubuntu 24.04 LTS supported by Virtualbox and OpenZFS. Basically, it is an all-in-one combination of Desktop, File Server and Virtualization Server. All my Apps run in VMs.
