After rebooting, could not print, would not recognize the printer, Could nor use software updates in setup due to sandblocked, could not open files directorywish I could go back to traditional screen format instead of increasing chrome ans where to find apps on startup. never in all my many years of using Ubuntu have I had so much trouble with Ubuntu upgrades and updates. Anyone else suffering with this upgrade/update?

Gnome 46 desktop environment has brought in many changes.

The usual method of putting an image/photo on the log in screen does not. It took me awhile to find the new way to do it. For those who want to know - put the image/photo in the Pictures folder. Open System Settings>System and tick the pencil icon in the circle image> Change Avatar. You can select from a selection of images or click on Select a file and then select the image/photo in the pictures folder.

where to find apps on startup
Not sure what you mean by that. But, click the circle of friends icons and look for the Startup Applications icon to put applications that you want to start after the desktop loads.

wish I could go back to traditional screen format instead of increasing chrome
I have no idea what you mean by that statement.

It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.
