Ubuntu MATE 24.04 doesn't boot

Hi all,

after problems with my old Ubuntu MATE 22.04, I decided to install everything anew. I downloaded Ubuntu MATE 24.04 & installed it. The only problem is that the new OS doesn't boot.
All I am getting is a black screen. What can I do to solve this issue? Any help would be highly appreciated.

There's zero output? What happens after BIOS POST?

Nothing; the screen remains black.

P. S.: I installed it via an USB stick, and since this didn't work, I tried another USB stick. Would it help to install it via DVD?

Very Possible, try another DL and burn, I don't think a DVD media would help or hurt.

But just to stay consistent burn to a USB Thumb Drive.
