/dev/data/pve volume shows up as inactive

    OS: Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy

Hello, a year ago when I was setting up my server, I had initially set it up with proxmox and couldn't get it to work successfully and instead flashed and booted Ubuntu Jammy 22.04. However, as I was looking through my disks/volumes, I am only able to use 100gb of my 2tb SSD and unable ot use the remaining storage because it is listed as inactive and believe that the initial proxmox setup is the reason. I'm not sure how to activate and access that remaining storage of the SSD and have no idea what the next steps could be. Would anyone be able to direct me to a solution?

Here are the commands I ran through the terminal:
    Code:
    homelab@homelab-server:~$ lsblk

I posted this on the Proxmox forums as well and one commenter explained that my partitions are messed up and a backup + reflash will be needed. If this is needed, how do I go about doing this and saving all my configuration files of different services? I've lost track of how many to be honest so do I need to redownload everything individually?

Re: /dev/data/pve volume shows up as inactive

First you can try to reactivate the logical volume.

    To check for issues:
    sudo vgck pve
    sudo lvcheck /dev/pve/data

    To activate the volume:
    sudo vgchange -ay
    sudo lvchange -ay /dev/pve/data

    To check file system integrity:
    sudo fsck /dev/pve/data

as for back up, you can do for example:
    sudo tar -cvpzf /backup/config_backup.tar.gz /etc
    Have a great day
