Where have all my favorites gone??

Recently installed Dash to Dock, and have a strange issue that, after leaving the computer for a while, all my favorites in the Dash to Dock, disappear, and I end up with only the apps icon, but this also has no apps in it...??
Only fix is to logout/login, and all is returned to normal.
