Why can't I successfully install 24.04 on my Samsung Rf-711?

I'm stuck on the message "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key."


I have tried installing it a few times now and always get stuck here. The BIOS boot priority is on the SSD where it is installed, and I'm still stuck as mentioned above.

It came out in 2011. Probably be better to try Lubuntu, Xubuntu, or some other lightweight distro.
