Hello, both under oracular and noble I noticed that on top panel, on the right hand side, the shutdown button is no longer there (it used to be on the right of the volume icon). I wonder whether this is a bug or a feature. Regards!
May be a bug on your system, i still see the shutdown button on the right of the volume icon
Hello, Originally Posted by corradoventu May be a bug on your system, i still see the shutdown button on the right of the volume icon thank you for your response: 1) laptop with noble, upgrade from 23.10 no icon 2) vb with fresh installation of oracular inside laptop no icon 3) desktop after upgrade, button is there I will try an installation of oracular in my desktop under vb just to check it out. Regards!
In my opinion, it is a feature. The indicator icons are in a small panel. Click on the small panel and we get a useful subset of System Settings without needing to open the full System Settings utility. Regard
It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things. Ubuntu user #33,200. Linux user #530,530

It seems that I cannot see it under laptop, while it is there under desktop. Regards!
What happens if you create a new user and log in as that user? Just to be clear, are you using the default Ubuntu Desktop (which uses a tweaked GNOME) or something else?
