don't know why. it is a fresh installation of ubuntu.
my desktop computer is with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
I've never used Hebrew fonts but I wonder if you installation has any of them in the fonts cache. Seems unlikely as you are from Israel and I assume deal with that during installation but worth checking; PDFs can sometimes show strangely when missing fonts.

this time, when i installed ubuntu i've used the light version with less software.. perhaps that is the reason.. how can i add more fonts and try to see how it is different? thank you for assisting
Not really sure but try installing packages culmus and culmus-fancy though I have no idea if this will solve your problem; I'm just guessing! It could be worth installing synaptic (package manager) and using its search ability, name and description, using hebrew as the search term.
i do it by typing "sudo apt get culmus" and culmus-fancy? tnx
