Graham Inggs of the Ubuntu Release team warns us that Ubuntu 23.10 (Mantic Minotaur) reaches its end-of-life on July 11, 2024. We're given some details, including a link to the instructions and caveats for upgrading Ubuntu 23.10 systems to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

Canonical launches Ubuntu Core 24

This blog tells us Canonical have released a new immutable Ubuntu Core 24 product for IoT device makers. We're given some key features of this release which includes 12 years of long term support on ARM, x86 and RISC-V platforms. Real-time and Core editions of Ubuntu arrive

Liam Proven writes about three topics. We're reminded Ubuntu 23.10 is approaching its end of life, thus users need to upgrade rather soon. Next we're told Canonical have released a real-time kernel for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, and the new Ubuntu Core 24 release for IoT devices. Along with details of each of these topics, we're given links, and told the Desktop version of Ubuntu Core 24 is still to be released later this year.
