Hi all, I've spent some time looking for answers on the net but nothing worked for me so far... I've just installed Ubuntu 24.04 on my Acer Swift 3 machine, in place of a previous Windows installation. So far, the touchpad works well but I can't use the left click. My only option is to tap on the touchpad. I am sure the left click is not broken though; as it used to work with Windows. I guess it is a software/driver problem, but I have no idea how to fix that... Let me know if I can provide any additional information on my machine/system!
Hello, It can be a default configuration of the touchpad. To modify the behavior of the touchpad, you can go to settings -> mouse and touchpad. Then at the top of the window you can select "mouse" or "touchpad". Here you can modify the behavior of the touchpad and test it with the button "test the settings" at the bottom of this page. I haven't my Ubuntu in English so the name can vary a little but it's the idea. I hope it helps
Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately I have already tried but I was not able to activate the click by pressing on the touchpad. The current setting is "Tap to click" is activated, but if I deactivate it then I no longer have the possibility to click with the touchpad; it does not enable again the "press to click" option.
