New to forums but not Ubuntu. I have to dual boot Ubuntu with Windows 10 (just a couple of specialist apps and some hardware support not available in Linux) and in Windows use a VM with Ubuntu (for everything else). Recently I had to revive an older VM with 18.04, for which I took up the free subscription to Ubuntu Pro/EMS. Since then, whenever I try to copy files to/from Shared Drives, this spontaneously disappears and the only way to get it back is a restart. In the meantime, I can copy files from the VM with DiskInternals' Linux Reader, but of course no way copying to Linux from Shared Drives. Any suggestions for a cure much appreciated.

I'm desperately looking for a solution to this problem, but in the meantime may have to de-register Ubuntu Pro/EMS as I'm unable to work when having to use Windows with the 18.04 VM without being able to freely copy files to/from Shared Drives as almost all of my data reside on USB drives. A most frustrating situation. I'd really appreciate help here. MTIA.
Problem resolved itself a while ago with one of Ubuntu Pro's updates - should have posted sooner but forgot. All working fine now. Hoping it won't happen again. (Fingers X'ed!)
