He was suggesting a better supported card is available. I too feel this, your card is not the best option for Linux.

Most don't until the hardware does not work or work as expected....I always make sure every piece of hardware I buy "works on Linux"

Try adding the grub suggestion and update-grub, and reboot to see if it helps or not.

A driver maybe needed...But that is if your card is listed there, and I seen nothing for "88SE9128 PCIe SATA "

That's what I would call *Not*"working as expected"

Please see if the grub changes help or not, keep us posted.

Last thought before I re-up on the bug report, we just don't have many kernel options on Noble ie:

Tried writing Marvell about a driver.

I've actually haven't tried the BIOS update yet.

I thought as much, with the grub change....I'm not sure about the Bios Update myself.

This is one one of those damned if I do and damned if don't.

What makes the most logic now is to file the bug report.
I would also include this thread link, it has a ton of info we've already checked.

Well that got rid of>>"*-processor UNCLAIMED" so we are not chasing our tails for that much.

Your going to be miles ahead filing the bug-report, they will know what else to try.
I still wonder about a Kernel 6.5 how well that would run, and for how long before another panic.
