my password for ubuntu forums is only lasting for a couple days or so

in periods where i login every day, my login seems to last a while (many days or even a few weeks). if i have not logged in for a couple days or so, i have to login again via SSO (ubuntu one at login.ubuntu.com). i must assume that i have done something wrong such as a wrong setting somewhere. does someone know what could be wrong and how i could fix it?

There is nothing wrong. This is expected forum software behaviour.

Hello,

for a long time now opera login period for ubuntu forums is max 2 or 3'. Checking from the same computer using firefox the login period is normal. I decided to post it here, since it seems to me a similar topic like the OP.

For snap users: The forum requires re-login whenever the browser snap is refreshed (updated)

i went 2 days and got logged in OK this evening 23.30 EDT.

this "normal" is annoying as the way to login is extra steps. other sites can go 28 to 35 days.
