Add search to gnome applications menu extension

Is there a way to add search functionality to the applications menu?

    Do you have catfish installed?
    Code:
    apt install catfish
I don't use gnome, but a widget will probably appear in Applications or Accessories after installation.

Is the builtin search function not working right for you?

It already exists as mentioned by deadflowr in post 3.
Show Applications > Top of screen > Type to search
Help > Ubuntu Desktop Guide > Your Desktop > Start Applications

    Ah, maybe, I've misunderstood.
    Which extension?

I mean it's built into gnome shell itself.
    Ah, maybe, I've misunderstood.
    Me as well.
    probably this one:

I guess you could file an issue as a feature request ( or something) to add the search to it,
    https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome...sions/-/issues

but you should still have search function in the regular Activities Overview either way.

Yes I have the Activities Overview. I'm sorry if my question was hard to understand.
