    Channel Problem with Surround System

    Dear Support,

I want to use my Pi 5 with Ubuntu 23.10 with my Onkyo 5.1 System, the channels are all recognized but they are not "working" as supposed too. For example Center plays on "spot" of rear-left... Does anyone has a fix for my problem? Do I need a "driver" for my Onkyo system.

    Thank you for your help!

Re: Channel Problem with Surround System

Check that the speakers are connected correctly to your receiver. Or validate that the source is using the correct channels.

I doubt this has anything to do with the Pi. How is the Pi connected to the receiver? Is there an addon amp-HAT for the pi involved? SPDIF or HDMI or analog audio connections?

BTW, nobody here works for Canonical. I've found the best answers for raspberry pi questions come from those forums and from the specific software generating the output. For example, I have a Pi4 running OSMC/Kodi. I'd never ask questions here about it, but I've gotten great help in the OSMC forums.
