    so i tried to install ubuntu 23.10 to replace a buggy 23.04

    it failed so i thought my machine was to old it's a socket 1150 so i said lets try 1 more thing so i installed Debian 12 "WOW" beautiful for 2 days now thank you Ubuntu i would like to come back someday but not today thank you ubuntu for 15 years of stellar computing'

    Hello,

    installation of 23.10 has changed and is not complete yet. I suppose so that till noble is out, it will get fixed. The thing is that noble will be a stable release, which will force things to get ironed out better than in non stable versions.

    I'm glad that you are happy with debian 12. I noticed though that it uses slightly older version of gnome shell, yet I suppose that this is due to stability reasons.

    Don't know why your installation failed. Just to mention that I saw that now it requires much more resources than it used to, so in older machines might be more difficult to succeed. Also, sometimes, retrying might be a solution. For example attempting to install noble or boot to noble via vm at first, might not work. Trying again and it is working.

    well im back PIPEWIRE issues on kernel 6.1 type that in your browser search
    so i installed not kernel 6.1
    i thought it was me i can break things just by looking at them heheheheheh
    and i know ubuntu its great heheheheh
    cant afford new computer today still trying to get my money back out of this one circa 2012

    ok the DEV"s have fixed it ? or i stumble onto a fix for my cresentbay machine installed 22.04.4 lts, upgraded -d in terminal to 24.04 lts and HDMI is working for me again whew now if i can just keeep myself from breaking it again

    AMI bios /chipset /audio DSP Configuration /pch-io configuration / audio dsp from disable to enable
    i hate messing with bios , but i hate when windows 11 pro makes my PC twice as hot as ubuntu
    lifes good thanks ubuntu 24.04 lts
