Ubuntu Budgie switches its approach to Wayland

Liam Proven refreshes us on prior Xorg to Wayland changes, especially regarding Budgie. We're then told Liam met with Ubuntu Budgie's David "Fossfreedom" Mohammed and Sam Lane which led to this report. We're reminded of the prior Enlightenment direction, which has now been replaced by a Xfce or a libxfce4windowing 'bridge' between Wayland and X11; which is the new direction.

Re: Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter Issue 815

    I read specific sections.

Wish Canonical wasn't so against mixed Linux meetings. My LUG has 2 weekly meetings and a monthly meeting, but since we aren't Ubuntu-only, they don't seem interested in helping with exposure. Would be nice to help more people, live, from around the world.

Re: Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter Issue 815

    TheFu - Well

There are sections that are not particularly Ubuntu.
Depending on the context there are:
In Other News -> Any news or links that don't fit neatly into other sections.
Other Articles of Interest -> Bullet-point list of articles that are more generic Linux articles in nature.

Long as it contains Ubuntu in your meetings - I got no qualms running the meeting announcements in the LoCo Events section.

I am more than willing to accommodate in greater exposure. Give us something to bite on.

    cheers
