Stop a folder appearing in recent files

Does anyone know how to stop a folder from appearing in the recent files? It's quite irritating!
    Thank you,

Hmmm. Mine does not show any folders in Nautilus "Recent" folder.

And when i looked it up, it says that is the default normal behavior now.

People have asked how to add folders to be seen in the Recent folder and no one seems to know how in the current version.

In "Settings", look under "File History & Trash".

    Resurrecting this

Thank you for showing me where can you turn this on or off.
Is there any extension that anyone knows, where you can select only certain folders to appear in the file history?

    Thank you,
