Firefox swipe to go back not working

Hi all,
I've just installed Ubuntu after almost a decade away. It's working great but two finger swipe to go back doesn't work in Firefox. I'm using Wayland and gestures on desktop are fine. I've got the about:config flags set up properly too. Any ideas?

Does it work if you try it using X11 instead of Wayland

Nope. Nothing. Left/right swiping still registers - e.g. ctrl+swipe zooms in/out on FF. But no back/forward.

EDIT: Further tests = doesn't work on Chrome either.

i have the same issue but little deferent , I cannot open the some website like github , techradarto and other networking sites.
in any browser.
