Linux compatible printer. (1/3 of compatibility list searched)

Have searched 30 pages of the Desktop Hardware Compatibility List and having scanned every Re: Desktop Hardware Compatibility List.

post for any mention of a printer I gave up having found 2, both monochrome.

May I ask if any member can recommend a compatible inkjet colour printer with print/copy/scan, for home use, ideally a Brother as they seen to be tops for Linux compatibility? Or any other make that is compatible?

I have a Canon which is in need of replacement and have never really been happy with it.

May I suggest posts in the Compatibility List be headed with the item type/name of hardware that is compatible to speed up searches?

The list at openprinting.org tends to be quite useful to find a Linux-compatible printer.
