Using DIfferent Interface For DIfferent purposes

I have a desktop at the office, and on that PC, I have turned on XRDP, and it has a static IP directly connected to Ethernet. and ethernet has a lot of restrictions, so is it possible if I use only ethernet static IP to use only for XRDP connections, and along with that, I use wifi for internet access and other stuff? When I used to turn off the wireless interface and only have ethernet, I was able to make a remote connection, but when both are turned on, I am not able to make a remote connection.

Are these restrictions put in place by your employer?
