Locked Kinetic laptop goes to sleep

Happening recently, interesting behavior on my Kinetic laptop: If I lock my computer from the keyboard, it automatically goes to sleep! Why is that? Not sure whether going to sleep happens immediately or after a while, but it should not be happening at all! This did not happen with Jammy! How can I fix that please?

(I keep my laptop's lid closed, but that should have nothing to do with it. Also FYI: using the "balanced" power mode.)
