Logitech mouse M705 doesn't fully load at boot, also after blank screen

    - Logitech mouse M705 usually doesn't fully load at boot, also often reverts to "half there" after time out to blank screen

    - Cursor works ok, but wheel is hit and miss, with erratic movement, until I do the below:

    - Each time this occurs, I have to turn off mouse by switch on bottom, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on

    - After this, all is ok until I next reboot or have a time out screen. Gets old quickly after lots of times each day.

NOTE: This occurs on BOTH my machines, though one is much worse than the other.

FWIW: I have several Logitech mice that utilize the USB Unifying Receiver. I have been using them for years. The only problem I ever had with one was when I dropped it and ever afterwards the scroll wheel was mushy and could not scroll - I trashed it. A defective mouse is not worth having. They are not worth repairing; they are made to be replaceable.
Did you change the battery in the mouse for a fresh one? I don't care what Logitech says about 3 year battery life - I don't believe them.
    Cheers,

    - I have changed batteries on both mice - no help.
    - The wheel feels normal (not mushy) on both of them.
    - These do utilize the Unifying Receiver, but the chances of two of two, 50 miles apart, going bad, is pretty much zero.
    - The receiver is only about 3 to 5 inches from the mouse.

My instinct tells me that for some reason, the mouse is not fully installed on boot, nor reinstated after time out. Then it has to be "reset" by flipping the switch off and then on again - all becomes instantly ok then, until next time.
