    Question Keyboard Problem

    Hi!
I have been using ubuntu as my only OS for 4 months now. About a month ago a specific set of keys stopped working. they would work sometimes and other times now. I tested my keyboard in the BIOS and it was working fine. Lately it is becoming a persistent problem. Any clues on how I can solve this? I would hate to have to switch from ubuntu but a laptop with a disfunctional keyboard is really annoying

    Re: Keyboard Problem

Linux is causing your keyboard problems. Try an external keyboard. 11+ years on Linux and I have yet to hear that the OS caused certain keys not to work. Rather, I have HEARD of complaints of that happening, but another keyboard has ALWAYS cured the problem.

Get compressed air and blow the dirt out from under the keys on the keyboard. Rapidly and repeatedly press every key. Blast with air again. Repeat. You may be able to save that KB yet. Otherwise, you need a new KB.
