    All-In-One Printer Suggestion

I am in need of a new printer. I would like an HP All-In-One 479 color laser but they are out of stock and have been for a while. What other printers work well with Ubuntu?
I want color, laser, all-in-one so I can also scan.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

Find another HP model then. HP is simply the easiest to use in Linux. Hands down.

Thanks for the obvious but HP is out of stock on all of the all-in-one color laser printers it seems.

Have you checked every retailer in your area? Some may still have some.

It's not that other printers don't work with Linux, but you may need proprietary drivers to get them working. If you find a model you may like, check beforehand that it works with Linux out of the box or has drivers available. But there's still a bit of a risk, as drivers may not work with future releases of Ubuntu.

I recently purchased a Brother MFC-J4535DW. I unpacked it, installed the ink cartridges (yes Inkjet with oversized cartridges) connected it to the ethernet network, went through the setup just to be sure everything looked right. It was. Initially the scanner's document feeder didn't work but I think that was user error. I've tried everything but faxing on an Ubuntu 20.04 install and no issues. Brother does offer drivers including an installer but the 'driverless' installation seems to work. Brother seems quite the viable alternative to HP. I'm not sure about HP lasers but HP has played some games with their inkjet machines 'expiring' the ink after so many months no matter how much ink remains. Brother doesn't and I think Brother ink might be less $$. We also have a Brother HL3170 color laser. We use 3rd party toners in it and no issues.

I do have brother printer/scanner it works well on my Linux Ubuntu Operating System. My scanner works smoothly using xsane scanner an open source application scanner and also in simple scan a scanner application from Linux Ubuntu Operating System and until now no issues so far.. What I did was just to completely install all the drivers i needed for my brother printer/scanner coming from the brother printer/scanner official website and added some IP configuration in my Linux Ubuntu Operating System for my brother scanner to works fine. Hp too works perfectly on Linux Ubuntu Operating System but I don't have it yet and still planning to buy new one soon.
