Did you contact VMware support? That's the point of having a commercial, paid, tool.
BTW, this thread really belongs in the Virtualization sub-forum, not Server. Workstation is a Desktop program.

I'm thinking more info is needed...

1.) Did you check the installer logs to see "what" It error'ed on?

2.) I see status prompt to the autoinstaller and on the timing of the disk layout section and on LVM... what was the layout that you were trying to setup when this happened?
