Hi all, I got disk error on my 5 years old ssd.
Found this advise and it helped: https://askubuntu.com/a/1191343
How do I check my disk health in general? Would it be the best way to ask service guys about changing SSD ASAP? Actually this is my secondary notebook and I use it rarely, but it would be shame to take it out of city and see it died when it's needed. For 18.04 or newer... you MUST do it this way...
boot to a Ubuntu Live DVD/USB
open a terminal window by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T
type sudo fdisk -l
identify the /dev/sdXX device name for your "Linux Filesystem"
type sudo fsck -f /dev/sdXX, replacing sdXX with the number you found earlier
repeat the fsck command if there were errors
type reboot
Need your opinion. Thanks.
