Question How to fix text under icons that splits MID-WORD?

In the attached screenshot, you'll see that the text under two of my desktop folder-icons splits in the middle of a word, thusly:

    "downlo
    ads
    folder"

    and:

    "Networ
    k
    Server
    s"

You have to enlarge the screenshot to clearly see the two icons toward the lower right (and the text under them).

    This is on Ubuntu-MATE 20.04.3

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks.

I opened MATE Tweak -> Windows -> fonts and made sure all five font-types were set to "Ubuntu Regular" 15-point. That seems to have fixed the problem.
