    connecting my cell phone

When I connect my cell phone the system insists it contains digital photos (it does not) but it has two folders FOR digital photos and only displays those 2 folders.

I want to copy, paste, edit, whatever non-photo files to other folders.

I have not found any solution to this on the 'net despite hours of looking. The two "problem" folders seem not to be deletable.

    Can anyone help?

    TIA

Try your phone's settings. They allow you to choose what the phone makes available to the computer: nothing (just charge), networking, photos, any file. Where and how depends on the details of your phone.

    Re: connecting my cell phone

Thanks for taking the time to get back to me.

It never occurred to me that this is (might be) a phone problem - hence me omitting details of the phone. And, that said, this wouldn't be the place for 'phone help' anyway.

And that said, I've poked around in it's setting and I haven't found anything that changes access.

But, on the off chance that anyone might be able to reveal the place, the phone is a Lenovo S898t+.

    Again thanks for your input.

    Lenovo S898t+
thats a very old version of android so not sure how it would work
normally as soon as you connect phone to pc it'll ask what you want to do (swipe down to see options if it doesn't pop up) , it's either charge only , MPT or something ,or transfer files.(like Impavidus said)
choose transfer files to see everything that's on your phone ,on pc.
i don't think there's anything in the phone settings to choose what to do when connected to pc, you got to connect first.
