Ubuntu 20.04 doesn’t detect second monitor (AMD)

I have kernel 5.4.0-42-generic and my gpu is Radeon RX 5500 XT. It doesnt detect my monitor anywhere like it doesn’t exist. I have tried to unplug and plug back in but still nothing.

    Update your system.
The kernel version in use is a year out of date.

If after updating it still has issues, you might require the hardware enablement stack.

What is the make and model of the monitor? How is it connected to the computer video adapter? HDMI or something else? Are you dual booting with another operating system? Is the monitor also a television?

I use an LCD TV as a monitor. It is connected by HDMI to the video adapter. I use the TV remote control to set the "source." I choose between TV, HDMI and other options such as DVD. If I make the wrong choice it is if the computer operating system does not exist.

    Is this a laptop?
