    Formatting DVD

What is the best way to format a dvd to use to burn Windows 10 and use in VirtualBox?
Using Ubuntu 20.04 and have an iso downloaded from Microsoft

If you are burning a Windows 10 ISO image onto a DVD then the target format was already chosen (ISO9660 in that case) by whoever made that ISO image (Microsoft themselves I guess?). All you need to do is to burn it.

Why do you need to burn a dvd to use in Virtualbox and how????!!! All you need is the iso.

I think what monkyebrain20122 is trying to say is that if you downloaded the iso and have it on your hard drive somewhere, you don't need to create a DVD to install it in a VM. When setting up the VM, just point to the file you already have on a hard drive as the installation media.

Thanks all for the very useful replies especially the fact that you can use the iso directly in VM . I am away on holiday at the moment but will give it a go when back.
    Great forum! Mike
