server not found. Where to start solving this problem?

Can not open Firefox. Can not find server is the error. Where and how do I start to solve the problem. ISP says modem is not the problem. Using Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Forum Feedback & Help, where you posted this, is for questions about using the forum, not for technical support. Thread moved to General Help.

You'll need to give more details for those who may wish to help. For example:

    What happens when you try?

Where do you see this error? In firefox, or somewhere else? What is the exact error message - in full.

Re: server not found. Where to start solving this problem?

    So, there are two problems:
    1. "Can not open Firefox."
    2. "Can not connect to server at duckduckgo.com".

I think it is safe to assume that the first one is somehow solved, because if you can see the error in 2, it implies Firefix is open.

As for number two, have you tried other websites? Do they work?
What are the outputs of the following commands:
    hostname -I

    ping google.com

    ping 8.8.4.4
