Where do you see this error? In firefox, or somewhere else? What is the exact error message - in full.

Can not connect to server at duckduckgo.com. That is my home page.

So, there are two problems:
1. "Can not open Firefox."
2. "Can not connect to server at duckduckgo.com".
I think it is safe to assume that the first one is somehow solved, because if you can see the error in 2, it implies Firefix is open.
As for number two, have you tried other websites? Do they work?
