    OK, here it is:

Preferences -> LXQt settings -> Shortcut Keys

You'll find that PrtScr is already there (it's called "Print") Edit it and replace the existing command with:
    Code:
    sh -c 'scrot -o /tmp/clip_$(id -u) -e 'xclip -selection clipboard -t image/png < $f''

Then add the Alt+PrtScr shortcut and add this command:

    Code:
    sh -c 'scrot -o -u /tmp/clip_$(id -u) -e 'xclip -selection clipboard -t image/png < $f''

Both work the same way, the only difference is the -u option (select active window).

sh (shell) is invoked to run scrot (screenshot) followed by xclip to place the shot on the clipboard. Only one shot is placed on the clipboard, a second shot overwrites the previous one. In all suitable programs you can now place the shot using Edit -> Paste.
There's no provision to shoot a selection of the screen. I usually just paste into Kolourpaint to crop the shot as desired.

    Cheers.
