Games with mpg files not playing

Hello,
I am playing an old game that has a mpg movie right at the start ( Max Payne ) , the games runs great with wine 6.0.1 but the mpg file does not play.
Should I install anything (using wine) in my virtual windows drive?

also make sure you have 32bit architecture installed and various codecs and such for playing video on linux.
