Ubuntu 20.04.3 delayed until August 26th
Lukasz Zemczak on behalf of the Ubuntu Release Team reports that shim package updates have caused installation media to fail to boot on some devices; a fix is currently in progress. To ensure the fix is fully tested, the release of Ubuntu 20.04.3 has been delayed a week. The freeze of focal-updates has not been altered, the delay is just for final testing. A link to the release status tracking post on discourse is provided.

First Impish Indri test rebuild / GCC 11
Matthias Klose reports the first test rebuild of Impish Indri for all architectures was started on 5 August 2021, and is already partially completed, with universe and multiverse still to complete for non-x86 architectures. Numerous links for more details are provided, including a request to help fix the build failures.
