    Interesting.

    Sounds to me like you're not updating your Windows 10 OS on a regular bases.

    I run Windows 10 Professional 64bit on a 2010 Dell Optiplex 380 with a Core 2 Duo E7500 (2.93GHz) processor and 4.0GB DDR3 memory and integrated graphics and 160 GB mechanical hard drive and have never had any updates take hours.

    My Windows 10 updates only take minutes to download and install and even the Windows 10 feature updates download and install in under 30 minutes.

    Perhaps it's because I have fiber optic internet which is fast.

    I run Linux on several different desktop computers although keep a Windows 10 computer on hand to login to websites that Linux can't login to.
