How do I get rid of activities bar at bottom of screen in Ubuntu 20.04?

I just upgraded from Ubuntu 18.04 to Ubuntu 20.04. I did the same thing on my computer at work and this problem did not occur.

See photo below. There's a big ugly black bar at the bottom of my screen with EVERY software I have open in big heavy black boxes. At the far right is 1/2 workspaces - and having 3 monitors I'm only using one workspace.

I'm not talking about the favorites bar, which the system has moved to a different monitor, and which I successfully made transparent, or the title bar on top that has activites and applications (added), Google Chrome which is open, and a dropdown to open more windows, today's date and the time, and a bunch of buttons for system settings like volume, internet, shut down computer.

I'm talking about something extraneous, obnoxious, and new.

Screenshot below. It wouldn't let me include the title bar.

    Thanks!

    Yours,
    Dora

I figured this out. In Extensions in Tweaks I had enabled "Window list" because somehow I thought a window list at the bottom of the screen might be a good idea. It's gone now.

Honestly, never saw anything that ugly in my life - never thought it was something I did!

You could try Docky which only pops up when you mouse over that area.
