    VNC Viewer on Headless Setup

    Hey,
I have setup VNC Viewer on Ubuntu 20.04. It works perfectly when I have a monitor connected. I will be using it as a staking node and I want to stash the computer out of sight without any peripherals connected.
But when I turn on VNC Viewer on my Android I get a black screen with the mouse cursor.

Is the a workaround to fix this? I have extremely basic Ubuntu skills but I know how to open terminal.......😶😉

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are you wanting to do on the remote system when you connect with VNC? Why do you need the full desktop session? What activities will you be doing once you connect?

With the monitor connected I was able to use the mouse, type, open programs etc. on my phone. Full functionality as far as I could see. I was hoping to do the same without the monitor connected.

Need to give it a virtual monitor.

Thank you for that. I think I'll opt for the Hardware solution at the bottom of the post
