    Black Screen after updates applications

    I am new to ubuntu,
I have installed Ubuntu yesterday and it seemed to be working good except for wireless, I did not see a wireless driver listed, so I searched the web and did not find wha worked so I decided I would update applications. After restarting the machine, the monitor remains black. I have done a cold/hard start and still nothing. I hear the PC running but still have a black screen. Any help would be appreciated.

I suspect that your PC may not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Ubuntu 20.04.

Can you supply your PC specification?

I cannot, as I can't see anything on the screen as stated. but it was running fine before I updated/upgraded the software. I was trying to get the wireless working. Any other suggestions, as I have, as far as i know, deleted the windows operating system?

What did you do to install the wireless drivers? The best way is by using the additional drivers tool. Is there any chance you interfered with the graphics drivers? Because that's what usually causes a black screen.

Can you boot a live disk?

    Is your PC a Desktop?

    Do you not have ethernet?
