    YPCendoscope - endoscope not showing in Cheese

    I have a USB enscope that is not recognized by the Cheese app. Here is what I see from LSUSB:

    I should add that I'm not so much interested in having Cheese recognize it than I am in being able to capture a video stream.

    Now I'm wondering whether it's due to an old HP-DM4 laptop (2010 I think) that does not have USB 3.0 but only USB 2.0

    Nevermind, I figured it out: using ffmpeg allows me to detect the device.
